Job Description
Job Summary:
SEA CORP has openings for two Systems Integrators on site at NUWC in Newport, RI. These positions have a need for someone experienced in all facets of systems integrations for SEA CORP’S support of submarine combat control systems. Candidates will work on identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. This work will require the utilization of creative thinking in problem solving, being able to analyze data, and the ability to communicate findings using verbal and written communication skills. These positions will hold normal business hours but some light traveling may be required for this role, ranging from day trips to overnights. Foreign travel is also a possibility.

Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and eight or more years of professional experience is required. In lieu of educational criteria, significant prior technical work experience such as active duty military or prior work in this area is acceptable.

The selected candidates must have strong grasp of Windows and Red Hat Operating Systems and networking; an in depth understanding of Operating Systems including how they interact and utilize hardware platforms will be key; have a working knowledge of TCP/IP; and, programming skills in: Windows (PowerShell, VB, WMI, ADSI) and/or Linux Bash, Perl, & Python would be helpful.  Additionally, expertise in submarine combat control and an understanding of interfacing subsystems, hardware, software, and basic concept of operations with submarine weapon employment is very desirable but not necessary.

This work is collaborative and involves frequent interaction with customers and peers, the ideal candidates must work well with others. The candidate must possess troubleshooting, diagnosing, and problem solving skills; be able to think quickly, outside the box and able to provide recommended solutions to problems as well as willing to accept and embrace change; must be accustomed to responding quickly and in a controlled manner to emergencies.

U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret clearance are required.
