In 1852, company founder Elisha D. Smith bought a struggling wooden pail factory that opened in Menasha, Wis. just three years earlier. In the more than 160 years since then, our devoted employees have worked together to build one of the country’s oldest and most successful privately held family companies.
Menasha Corporation has cultivated a “culture of possibilities,” a spirit fueled partly by 160 years of family values and partly by a tireless desire to deliver value to customers. It is evident every working day whether interacting with one another, our customers or our stakeholders. Here are some of the ways we show it:
We are open and honest and build relationships based on trust, respect and caring. We hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards.
We strive to understand our customers’ businesses and help them accomplish their goals. We challenge ourselves to continually improve our processes, products and services and to be the best at what we do.
We work together to achieve goals while encouraging individual contributions and responsibility. We build positive working relationships and resolve challenges cooperatively.
We make positive contributions to the communities in which we operate. We are environmentally responsible, compassionate and caring.
We are committed to helping our customers succeed. From unique solutions for supply chain management issues to meeting sustainability goals and building brand awareness to creating competitive advantages through innovative packaging solutions, Menasha Corporation operates with the highest ethical standards, an indelible behavior that is part of our culture.
We are also committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate – through unique programs that support our employees’ donation of their time and talents to schools, for example, and our corporate Foundation.
