RISE UP, Inc. (Residential Independence Supporting Elders with Unlimited Potential) came into existence in April of 2002. Originally part of Elder Care of Dane County-Retirement Choices Program, we pride ourselves on the amount of dedication and experience we have to offer our participants.  We will be celebrating our 19 year anniversary on 4/1/2021!

People supported by RISE UP live in apartments and homes, mainly on the east side of Madison, although our service radius is Dane County, WI. We provide some respite hours to individuals living in their family home or in an AFH arrangement.

RISE UP currently employs 71 people, most are direct care staff who are supported by 4 Residential Case Mangers and 3 Admin staff. We serve 35 participants ranging from age 30-88. 

Our Mission: RISE UP is committed to supporting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their desired quality of life and to remain in their homes in the community throughout all phases of life and the aging process.

Our Vision:  To assist adults in identifying and achieving their potential in their home and in the community by providing them with opportunities for maximum choice, independence and personal growth.  To assist the people we serve in maintaining the highest potential of health status by setting up a strong community-based health support network, promoting training, education, advocacy and on-going assistance as health needs change.  Above all, we are committed to helping adults with developmental disabilities remain in their home while we foster their community connections through all phases of the aging process.

Our strengths:  Through years of experience, RISE UP has gained special insights and experience regarding aging issues and how these issues impact developmentally disabled individuals. Our staff can provide additional specialized cares needed to safely support elderly individuals with developmental disabilities in their own homes.
