Overview

This role will primarily serve the data needs of Perioperative Services. The IS Systems Analyst II – IS Business Intelligence will be a member of the Clinical and Business Analytics team. They will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, implementation and support of enterprise reports, dashboards, and other analytic solutions. Develop and implement solutions in an Agile team environment consisting of poly-skilled developers working across all areas of our technology stack, including Oracle APEX, QlikSense/QlikView, Crystal Reports and traditional ETL tools, such as Business Object Data Services and SSIS.  Participate in peer programming, testing and code review. Main responsibilities will be to work with the business to transform the way they access the information required to do their job. The analyst must be able to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with other departments, maintain confidentiality of all data, information, and activities, and be able to perform detailed, quality work in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

  • At least 3 years’ experience using reporting and analytic tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • SQL querying skills a must.
  • Experience in transforming business requirements/specifications into solutions for customers utilizing BI tools and methodologies.
  • Strong Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate, mine, and analyze large, complex datasets.
  • Experience analyzing data and communicating the results to business leaders.
  • Ability to quickly learn and work with new tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

Reporting Relationships

Reports to:  Manager of IS Business Intelligence

 

Other Information

·      Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field.

·      Experience working with healthcare data in general. Epic Clarity is preferred.

·      Experience working with Epic Caboodle

·      Experience in Agile methodology.

·      Experience with Crystal Reports, QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau or Apex preferred.

 

 Minimum Physical Requirements

 

Note frequency as Constantly (67-100%), Frequently (34-66%) and Occasionally (0-33%) for each requirement.  Also note any lifting requirements with pound limit.
