POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Diversified Services, Inc. provides armed School Safety Officers in support of a private school system located in Fairhope, Alabama.  The role of the School Safety Officer includes but is  not limited to a variety of security related duties.

  • Responding to a variety of calls/incidents
  • Safeguard and secures all scenes
  • Responsible to perform crowd control when needed
  • Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks
  • First Aid and CPR as required
  • Completes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security applications
  • Must be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV’s, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications.
  • Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons, maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies
  • Safeguards all assets, provides assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed
  • Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP’s

Payrate: $23.36 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation
  • Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications 
  • Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications
  • Must be able to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays
  • Must be able to successfully complete approximately 40 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week)
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass all company provided training; to include Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
  • Must have a clean Driving Record
  • Must possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing
  • Current Operator’s permit. (Driver’s License)
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision
