About the Department:
The mission of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Undergraduate Academic Affairs (CHSS UAA) is to support the development of undergraduates in the College by serving as a resource for students, staff, and faculty on all things related to student and academic affairs. We work with other college and university constituents to ensure a positive experience for CHSS students throughout their time at Mason, from recruitment and orientation to degree conferral. We process many forms required for degree progression, while offering programming that meets the needs of CHSS undergraduates and the College's faculty. We provide support of advising, clear and consistent communication, adherence to academic policies, and services that enhance our student's growth as learners and leaders. The office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs staff is here to help undergraduate students, faculty, and staff with questions regarding academic issues.
About the Position:
Working with the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs, the Office Assistant supports policy and operations, transfer student initiatives, and student success initiatives within the College. This position will indirectly report to the Senior Associate Dean and work as a member of the CHSS Undergraduate Academic Affairs team.
