Job Description
SI Leaders attend all assigned classes, take notes, read all assigned materials and prepare activities for SI study review sessions. SI Leaders facilitate three study sessions (50 minutes in length) each week, and collect attendance data for every session. They hold additional sessions for mock exam review sessions. They maintain minor paperwork flow as needed.

SI Leaders need a desire to help students master difficult material, the ability to model the learning method processes necessary to become content-proficient, and good verbal and social interaction and communication skills with student peers. Leaders must have a grade of A or B in the assigned course. Must be responsible, socially engaging, confidential and patient. All interested students must fill out a student employment application. Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.

Primary Responsibilities
Attend all assigned classes, take notes, read all assigned materials.

Prepare study guides/activities and hold 3 study sessions per week, including mock exam sessions for students in targeted course.
Qualifications
Current NKU student
A or B grade in target course
Effective social interaction skills

A faculty member who can attest to your ability to be an effective SI Leader should be listed as one of your references. A letter of recommendation is not required, but you may upload one with your application if you would like.
