Position Summary:
The Cashier at Uwajimaya is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by ensuring accurate and efficient transactions, maintaining a positive shopping experience, and upholding store policies and procedures.
Position’s Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Offer carry-out assistance and promptly call for help when the queue exceeds three customers.

Operate the cash register, process payments accurately, handle returns efficiently, and ensure till accountability.

Be familiar with produce codes and store items to provide courteous product information.

Follow Cashier Guidelines and Procedures and adhere to store and company policies.

Walk through store departments to identify new products and their locations.

Keep the register counter clean, well-stocked, and ready for business.

Adhere to Alcohol and PCI Compliance policies.

Report discrepancies and concerns to the manager/supervisor, attend department meetings, and provide feedback on store events.
