Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
  • Position Summary
    • Assesses contemporaneous hospital administration issues and initiates appropriate action. Provides direct supervision, assistance and acts as a resource to staff; providing support, development and communication to all departments
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Associate degree from an accredited nursing program required; or bachelor's degree from accredited nursing program preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Active RN license. RQI BLS Certification within first 30 days of employment. Willingness to obtain and maintain Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as well as Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire is preferred.
    • Experience: One to two years' demonstrated clinical competence and leadership or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Ability to mentor and empower staff; to set the climate on each shift for cooperation and teamwork
    • Self-directed and self-motivated with a firm understanding of other nursing and leadership roles; skilled change agent
    • Effective communicator with the ability to create strong nurse/physician partnerships; serves as a role model through professional behavior and open, direct communication
