Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fieldwork such as surface water sampling, field instrumentation deployment, biological sampling, natural resource investigations;
  • Boat operation on major rivers (i.e., Mississippi and Missouri Rivers), including towing and trailering company-owned vessels;
  • Environmental compliance evaluations including state and federal permitting for surface water discharges, stormwater, impacts to jurisdictional Waters of the U.S., and others;
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, and proposals. 

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a similar degree field. (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
  • Missouri State Highway Patrol Boaters Certification, or ability to obtain (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with water quality concepts, boating lakes and rivers, or water quality/quantity monitoring equipment; or equivalent combination of experience and education. (preferred)
  • Experience with ArcGIS (preferred) 
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
