Job Description

We are now hiring for a Potable Water/Wastewater Engineer. This position can be based out of any of our 5 locations (Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Prairie du Chien, Reedsburg). The Portable Water/Wastewater Engineer is responsible for performing and managing design services related to water and sewer infrastructures and water/wastewater treatment projects. This position will also be responsible for preparing required reports and permit applications, overseeing the preparation of plans, construction documents, and specifications, and completing construction administration for water and wastewater projects.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Execute engineering work on potable water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
  2. Design, complete specifications, plans & bidding documents, cost opinions, design reports, and oversee construction of private and municipal wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities, as well as potable water supply, treatment, and distribution facilities (wells, treatment systems, storage tanks, booster stations, and distribution mains).
  3. Develop service area master plans for wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems.
  4. Develop service area master plans for water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution systems.
  5. Design systems to manage wastewater safely and effectively, including safely returning clean water to natural ecosystems.
  6. Design systems to supply potable water safely and effectively, including minimizing impacts to aquifers and natural ecosystems.
  7. Analyze existing potable water and wastewater systems for facility needs planning and evaluate capacity for new development.
  8. Prepare designs for wastewater collection and treatment and potable water supply, storage, and distribution in conformance with state regulations.
  9. Design layouts and specifications for various pumping and lift stations.
  10. Assist with the preparation and review of technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other miscellaneous contract documents.
  11. Conducts studies regarding the collection, treatment, and distribution of potable water or wastewater.
  12. Provide direction and technical guidance on potable water and wastewater infrastructure projects approaches and technologies.
  13. Complete Environmental Site Assessments, Phase I in accordance with ASTM E1527-21.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for candidates who have a Professional Engineering License for the State of Wisconsin and 8 + years of experience with the study, design, and construction administration of water resources infrastructures. Candidates should also be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
