Job Description

As our Global Business Manager for Advanced Energy Storage Materials (AESM), you will be responsible for business performance of both existing products and materials under development in our innovation pipeline, leading a team of product managers and collaborating with multiple functions, including sales, marketing, technology, and process development, to profitably grow the Advanced Energy Storage Materials product portfolio in markets characterized by high velocity.

Responsibilities

Strategy Stewardship and Execution:

  • Lead AESM business strategy adjustments and execution
  • Develop business cases and commercial strategies in support of future asset expansions
  • Drive activities to meet long-range planning objectives and business case milestones

Business Management & Pricing:

  • P&L management responsibilities for the division
  • Optimize profitability via pricing & cost management
  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives for the division geared towards high growth

Project Portfolio Management:

  • Lead relevant go/no-go stage-gate decisions in our new product commercialization process
  • Manage product development project portfolio and business opportunity pipeline
  • Identify and prioritize customer segments & key partnerships for future technology development

Qualifications

  • Master's in business administration (MBA). Technical / material science background highly desirable
  • 10+ years' experience in manufacturing, business planning, business management, sales & marketing, or corporate strategy is required, global commercial experience desired.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, driving results in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Very strong analytical as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates should be detail-oriented and possess ability to interpret data/analysis and intuitively identify/troubleshoot gaps in quantitative analysis

Additional information

  • Ability to travel (domestic & international) ~20%
