The Department of Humanities and Communication at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks adjunct instructors for fall 2023 to teach face-to-face on our Daytona Beach campus.

Instructors can teach one, or a combination of, the following courses: first-year writing, developmental writing, speech communication, technical writing, and humanities (literature) depending on department needs and qualifications.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of 18 graduate credits in either English or composition/rhetoric to teach writing, first-year writing, humanities or technical writing. Applicants should have a minimum of 18 credit hours in communication or linguistics to teach speech communication. Preferred candidates will hold a Ph.D. or M.A. or M.F.A. in English, composition, communication or a closely related discipline and should have experience teaching college level writing for composition and humanities courses and/or speaking for speech communication courses.
