Job Description

SUMMARY

With direction from the shift supervisor, this position will support the post extrusion operations including, but not limited to Zuri trim folding, fabrication, cutting, and packaging. This position will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, loading and offbearing material, cutting material, product inspection, packing, and operating a forklift to move in-process and finished product. The mix of duties will vary based on production needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Set up and operation of Zuri fold machine

* Set up and operation of molder

* Set up and operation of corner fold machine

* Meet daily production rate set by management

* Follow quality specifications and maintain level of quality consistent with standards

* Comply with and enforce safety and environmental policies and standards

* Identify potential safety risks and take corrective action in accordance with established safety rules

* Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy

* Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and managers

* Perform other duties as assigned to satisfaction of Production Supervisor

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Ability to safely operate a forklift

* Proficient with label printing software

* Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings

* Ability to read digital calipers

* Ability to read a tape measure

* Ability to use a stapler, bander and safety knife

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
