We have a career opportunity for a Land Survey Party Chief to join our Illinois Survey team. In this position, you will travel to and from various job sites working primarily on active survey projects in Illinois.

If you need to be in the office, this position can be based in our Naperville or Chicago office upon request.

• You will survey and supervise various active field survey projects
• You will perform construction checks; topographic mapping; Alta, boundary, and right-of-way surveying
• You will ensure safety by following proper surveying standards, implementing quality control procedures, and ensuring compliance is adhered to
• You will create relationships with clients and Benesch teams by providing status updates on work progress and reporting any pertinent issues accordingly.

• You will have an Associate's Degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or other related surveying program preferred; an HS diploma or GED required
• You will have experience surveying for a minimum of 3 years. If you already have experience as a Party Chief, that is a PLUS!
• You are okay and willing to travel during the workweek and/or possible weekends.
• You understand the business, are flexible with changing schedules and workload demands and are okay with working overtime hours.
• You are okay and willing to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• You have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Good driving record and valid driver's license
• You like math, consider yourself analytical, and like learning new software - if you know or have experience using Bentley SS10, Open roads, that is also a plus!
