Job Description
The SMT Operator runs and performs basic maintenance for the production floor surface mount technology (SMT) lines.

- Sets up and operates SMT equipment
- Enters data into applicable SMT databases
- Interprets and documents SPC information
- Maintains proper handling of solder paste
- Maintains all equipment by following required maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Experience or Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes
- Ideal candidate will have some experience in SMT machine operation or support
- Ability to read and understand work instructions
- Technical communication skills – must be able to communicate with Engineering and Production
- Ability to work independently as well as with teammates
- Ability to work with extremely small parts using a microscope and small hand tools
- Vision corrected to 20/20
- May require handling or exposure to chemicals used in the production area
- Continuous standing during daily support initiatives
- Ability to obtain a US Government granted security clearance, if required
