Transportation Project Manager - Atlanta, GA

We are looking to hire a Project Manager to be based in our locations Atlanta, GA office. We offer opportunities to work with local agencies and DOTs on a variety of complex projects involving transportation planning, traffic engineering, and civil and transportation design. This is an experienced position involving exciting, challenging, and complex assignments with opportunities for growth.

The ideal candidates will be a licensed Professional Engineer and will have strong project management skills and 8+ years of experience in design managing, and providing transportation engineering services for public agencies, including DOTs, counties, and municipalities.

The Impact You Will Have:
  • Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
  • Contribute to local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiatives including expansion of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and road and bridge design services
  • Participate in Business Development and Marketing, including networking, preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts.
  • Research local/state regulations as they pertain to transit agency planning and other requirements.
  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
  • Identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
  • Collaborate on regional growth strategy
What You Will Need:
  • BSCE or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer licensure in Georgia
  • Experience working with the Georgia DOT and/or local agencies
  • Progressive experience in project development and delivery of Transportation Planning and/or Traffic and Transportation Engineering and Design services
  • Progressive experience working directly with clients developing relationships, with proven ability to win work
  • Excellent communication, business development, project management, and client relation skills
  • Strong communication, organization and leadership skills with a track record for understanding and adhering to contractual requirements
  • Ability to lead, manage and grow a dynamic team
