CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Architect I to join our Architectural and Structures Team in Portland, ME or Albany, NY.

Our architects and designers seek to create high-quality, collaborative designs that stress innovation grounded in careful listening to functional needs and tailored to culture and specific organizational needs.

The architect I performs routine architectural assignments under direct supervision and receives specific and detailed instructions regarding tasks and expected results. This individual coordinates with engineers, assisting in specification developments and performing entry-level architectural assignments. This key role works from the designs of others, has a familiarity in planning and design, and a willingness to learn and develop. This position is expected to produce quality design and construction documents as well as prepare architectural drawings/renderings.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's in Architecture required, Masters preferred
  • No prior experience required; prior internships and/or applicable coursework preferred
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency required
  • Understanding of the preparation of construction documents, building systems, and engineering systems coordination
  • Construction administration experience preferred
  • Photoshop and PowerPoint skills preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Works collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to travel required (occasionally)
