Job Summary

Develop a cohesive Amazon long-term strategy for B2C & B2B Nespresso products and offerings. Align and secure validation from leadership on all strategic actions keeping Brand, Customer Experience and Nespresso financial objectives at the core. Develop a team of account managers in charge of day to day management of the businesses while also creating a global lighthouse for best practices across the Amazon platform. Elevate the relationship with key stakeholders at Amazon above the buying level and lead key initiatives linking to strategic objectives at Nespresso. i.e. Sustainability. Foster new ways of working across Amazon Advertising and Amazon Retail to unlock strategic JBPs that link the businesses together as one. Drive a system first approach across categories making the connections for both Amazon and Machine Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall Amazon business strategy and drive implementation
    • Architect the growth strategy and ensure approval of leadership.
    • Secure the necessary annual investments - PFME and TTS.
    • Secure alignment with overall eCommerce and Digital Media strategy.
    • Own the relationship with external media partner (Merkle) and establish the paid media strategy across all categories on the Amazon business platform.
    • Own the relationship with Amazon media Advertising team to further Nespresso's interest as a major brand and media investor on the platform and secure betas and category insights.
    • Own the relationship with Sr. buyers / DMM at Amazon.
    • Contribute to the Monthly Business Planning process with business and category insights.
    • Lead the team to secure the most optimal product portfolio.
    • Contribute to shaping the overall capsule distribution strategy for the market.
  • Make Nespresso US a lIghthouse for Amazon business best practices
    • Align with Nespresso Global community in key Amazon markets to exchange Best Practices and ensure the U.S. leads on priority initiatives.
    • Integrate the team with GAAT and tap into their teat and learn programs secure bonus media support for the US market.
  • Mentoring & Coaching
    • Recruit and develop a team of Account Managers and Analysts for hands on management of the business.
    • Ensure they are equipped to conduct terms negotiations with buyers and maintain profitability.

Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business related field, Marketing/Digital Marketing, Finance, Economics required. MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years experience working for a major Pure Player required. Former Amazon.com Vendor Manager or Inventory Planner PREFERRED.
  • 3+ years experience managing "other ecommerce" business whether Direct Channel or Brick & Mortar.com is a plus
  • Experience in Strategic Planning required. Ability to develop and present a strategic vision to Senior Leadership, securing alignment and validation across multiple cross-functional business units plus external stakeholders.
  • Strong Project Management skills with experience in strategic planning and execution required. Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Analytical skills - Ability to work with numbers: generate reports and statistical data, ability to interpret that data and in turn identify problems, opportunities, trends and develop solutions required.
  • Travel required (40%) 10-12 trips between NYC & SEATTLE per year and 1-2 HQ

The approximate pay range for this position is $160,000 to $185,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
