Our Kennesaw, Georgia office is looking for an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer or Scientist to support our process engineering and remedial design practice in the Metro Atlanta area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:

  • Fieldwork such as process water, wastewater, surface water and groundwater sampling, contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance;
  • Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
  • Engineering and data analysis and calculations, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
  • Remediation engineering consisting of remedy evaluations, cost estimating, design, and implementation;
  • Water and wastewater treatment design for industrial facilities;
  • Computer modeling related to hydraulic analysis;
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Here are some other things you should know about this position:

  • Training: This position requires health and safety, first aid, CPR, and other training, as well as medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our employees to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 25%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 20%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior research experience focusing on remediation technologies, water or wastewater treatment, or sustainability. (preferred)
  • 2 years of related experience or prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and the ability to become professionally licensed within five years of employment (preferred).
  • Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, WaterGEMS, or InfoWater. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
