Position

As a Senior Program Director covering our investment functions, you will be responsible for creating and managing a Portfolio of programs and projects with direct impact to our front office fund management business. You will assist in aligning strategic transformation programs which line up with our business objectives. You will manage a portfolio of initiatives that span across our investment lines of business, acquiring valuable insight as to how parts of the organization impact one another.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of a Portfolio of programs or projects relating to our front-office investment business
  • Accountable for leading planning and execution of moderately complex programs and projects from start to finish
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the program or project vision, objectives, scale, scope of work, expected outcomes, business value and impact, timelines, roadmaps, and resource level requirements
  • Assist other Program or Project Managers and their interfacing teams through all phases of cycle development, including analysis, project design and development, testing periods, installation, and final delivery
  • Manage other project managers across your portfolio and coach them to higher performance
  • You need to have extensive experience with budget management, scheduling, and risk analysis
  • Interface directly with managers, employees, vendors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
  • Establish strong partnerships and engagement with project stakeholders
  • Create a work plan that includes a schedule, milestones, control, and risk factors
  • Identify complex risks, lead reviews, create risk mitigation and implement action plans
  • Manage multiple projects individually and within a team
  • Comfortable / well-versed at using modern work management and collaboration tools (JIRA, MS Project on the Web, Confluence, SharePoint/Teams)
  • Enhance company and department reputation by accepting ownership, exploring new possibilities, and adding value to the organization
  • Prefer candidates with experience organizing small to mid-sized teams through Agile ceremonies, e.g. product backlog refinement, preplanning, planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • Required: extensive experience in Financial Services, preferably Investment Management
  • Required: deep domain skills in research/analysis, portfolio management, order management, operational/investment risk, and middle/back-office operations
  • Required: deep financial knowledge of equity, fixed income, and derivative instruments
  • Required: 10+ years of project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • PMP and/or ScrumMaster Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate ideas
  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to present to senior executives
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities
