We have an exciting career opportunity for a Structural Designer to join our talented and growing railroad team in Jacksonville, FL. As a Structural Railroad Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on various railroad structural design projects by performing fundamental analysis of project elements and developing and designing calculations.

• You will perform a basic analysis of project elements, including load development, and design calculations of project elements and Q/C
• You will prepare organized structural calculations
• You will design, and draft structural elements and details
• You will meet deadlines by performing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner and within budget as assigned
• You will work with a team of other Design Engineers but also work independently under the guidance of a Project Manager

• BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline
• PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
• Minimum of 2 years of bridge design experience
• Experience working with State's DOT preferred.
• Excellent communication and client relation skills.
• Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing Microstation
• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
• Ability to perform complex analysis and design
• Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
