You will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals throughout the U.S. and will provide project and design management, leadership, and client development in a variety of water resources projects including stormwater, potable water, wastewater, and groundwater facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks.

Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;
  • Managing the overall delivery of projects including, design management, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business;
  • Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals;
  • Preparation of technical documents including plans, specifications, estimates, calculations and analyses, technical reports, etc.; and
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior staff.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. (required)
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering. (preferred)
  • California PE license. (required)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of work experience in the development of civil infrastructure in California. (required)
  • Experience in management and coordination of multi-disciplinary team throughout planning, design, permitting, and construction phases of civil infrastructure projects. (required)
  • Experience in the development of plans, specifications, and estimates for civil infrastructure projects. (required)
  • Experience in the development of proposals for civil infrastructure projects. (required)
  • Experience in hydrology and hydraulic modeling and drainage analysis. (required)
  • Experience with the design of stormwater BMPs and preparation of water quality management plans. (required)
  • Experience in local and environmental permitting of civil infrastructure projects. (required)
  • Experience in construction support, inspections, and oversight. (required)
  • Experience in business and client development. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified California locations below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $119,675 / Maximum Salary: $167,545 (Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, Long Beach)
