INTERN - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Job Summary
The Intern will report to Staff Engineers and Project Engineers and will assist with the preparation of design calculations, drafting and design of engineering projects. The Intern provides support in writing of reports and conducting other necessary inspections and studies under the supervision of a licensed engineer. The Intern works with others on a project team, maintaining effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers, and clients. The Engineer at this level is in a developmental mode, being trained under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories/practices and gaining exposure to Company procedures.
Skills and Requirements
  • Studying to earn a Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited institution required in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to learn Power Systems Analysis, including, but not limited to, Arc Flash, Short Circuit Analysis and Coordination Studies, with experience using SKM, ETAP, Easy Power, or others
  • Ability to learn discipline related Code and common construction practices
  • Ability to use computer-aided design software and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering required (i.e. AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Up to 10-15% travel (i.e. job sites) may be required based upon business need
