Job Description

Talgo, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Technician with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our Milwaukee, WI team!
Must be fully vaccinated and provide COVID-19 vaccination card
Supply Chain Technician Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor orders for materials, parts and services from within pre-established timeframes and within appropriate cost parameters.
  • Provide timely feedback on the status of orders, material availability, and delivery expectation, or cost as required.
  • Identify and analyze the need and urgency in order to arrange the optimal mode of shipment to ensure the order is   received at the appropriate destination within the agreed timeframe.
  • Contact suppliers to expedite orders or resolve discrepancies as needed. 
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Planning and Warehouse departments to ensure any problems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain a Demand/Forecast report based on material delivery dates. This report is reviewed weekly with production and purchasing to ensure deliveries will not impact the manufacturing schedule.
    Recommend temporary or alternate solutions to material availability problems.
  • Contacts suppliers to arrange for repair/replacement of damaged or defective parts, materials and tools.
  • Some travel is required pertaining to Supplier management.
Supply Chain Technician Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
  • Two (2) years industry experience and/or an Associate’s Degree preferably in Logistics
  • Strong customer service/satisfaction focus
  • Ability to learn and comprehend the industry and related materials including both Talgo supplied parts and other parts used by Talgo including competitor parts
  • Interpersonal skills needed to positive interact with suppliers and internal customers. 
  • Must have a positive work attitude
  • Ability to perform data entry and retrieve information from SAP MM system
  • Ability to take initiative and to meet deadlines
  • SAP experience is a strong plus
  • Must have strong working knowledge of computer software to include but not limited to MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Knowledge of SAP R3 will be a plus
