Benesch is hiring experienced Project Manager to join our growing North Carolina Transportation Group. As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to plan, design, review and manage various types of NCDOT and municipal projects.

• Monitor schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements.

• Prepares project pricing, budgets and invoices.

• Develop Project Management plans for assigned projects

• Develop project schedule, budget and project quality management plans (PQMP)

• Manage the technical resources of a project

• Checking plans and submissions per NCDOT standards and requirements

• Checking task deliverables to insurance compliance with project QA/QC guidelines and PQMP

• Coordinate with Group Managers, Technical Managers and Practice leads

• Be a task leader for NCDOT embedded efforts including providing project oversight, reviewing work performed by other consultants, advise NCDOT (PMU, Divisions or other units).

• BS in Civil Engineering

• PE and/or AICP License or ability to obtain through reciprocity would be desirable

• Minimum of 20 years of developing roadway/highway projects

• Experience working with and developing NCDOT projects.

• Excellent communication and client relation skills.

• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Candidate role can specialize as project manager or technical manager

• Experience managing a multi-disciplined project team

• Work is performed within an office setting and will have Raleigh/Cary as a primary office. An opportunity exists for a candidate to work remotely and/or as embedded staff with NCDOT offices (PMU, Divisions or other units).
