About Us

At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts and artists. That's why we believe diversity is our greatest strength. HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.

Watch Our Story:

We believe that the way we work can add meaning and value to the world. That ideas inspire positive change. That coloring outside the lines can illuminate fresh perspectives. And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.

HDR is looking for a Geotechnical EI/EIT in Raleigh, NC. They will typically work under the direction of a licensed PE and be responsible for the geotechnical analysis and design of infrastructure projects including but not limited to roadways, retaining walls, bridges, buildings, dams, soils, rock slopes, asphalt, and concrete pavements, etc. Opportunities exist to participate in high-profile infrastructure projects in the southeast and across the United States (travel is required for site visits). They will also review boring logs, laboratory data, and design plans for a variety of geotechnical tasks such as slope stability, driven piles, and drilled shafts, and provide project-specific analysis for sites with seismic considerations, including liquefaction potential, slide remediation, ground improvement, and others. They'll prepare drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports, and be expected to coordinate with project managers to implement measures to successfully meet all project goals and objectives. On a day-to-day basis, we'll expect the Geotechnical EI/EIT to:
