Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Summary

We work on creating cutting edge cloud software to support the Department of Defense. Our software teams work in an agile collaborative environment where each scrum team is composed of 5 to 10 developers. Our software architecture is based on micro services which heavily utilizes Docker. We have multiple projects that either focus on creating synthetic environments, training, or mission planning and awareness.

We are seeking a skilled frontend web developer. We look for candidates that have a strong desire to keep learning and advancing their skills. In order to support this continuous learning, we provide a number of resources to foster this as well as providing the training time. An ideal candidate would have React or Angular experience and would be willing to learn the other. We work with geospatial data and the center piece of our UIs is a map view.

This position will require the candidate to apply for a Secret security clearance and will be located in either Orlando Florida, Tampa Florida, or Arlington Texas with a hybrid work from home schedule. Relocation assistance can be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript.
  • Must be eligible for Secret DoD Personal Security Clearance
  • Passion to develop cutting edge software to solve complex problems for the Department of Defense
  • Desire to develop innovative software for various R&D projects
  • Responsible for software planning, design, execution, and deployment of new features
  • Must be able to collaborate and perform effectively as part of a project "team"

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, software, or computer science.
  • Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience or a Master's degree in engineering or computer science with 1 years of software engineering experience

Preferred Skills

These following skills will be used in this position based on the task. These are nice to have skills and the candidate will have training opportunities to gain these capabilities if needed.

  • Experience with TAK Products, such as Android Tactical Assault Kit(ATAK), WinTak, or WebTak
  • Working with RESTful APIs such as Flask, Node.js, or C# ASP .Net
  • Experience creating web applications using frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Familiarity working with geospatial data using GDAL, Geoserver, OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Cesium
  • Familiarity with database systems like PostgreSQL, RTDB, etc.
  • Experience with container runtime environments such as Docker and container-orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ
  • Deploying software to cloud platforms using containerized software modules in DevSecOps pipelines

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

The work environment is an office with a desk and computer equipment.
