Job Description

We are seeking a Pesticide and Chemical Product Registration and Compliance Professional in Washington, DC or Columbia, MD to help us grow our product safety and compliance practice, and manage client, practice, and project development. You must have a strong background in product registration and compliance as well as an entrepreneurial attitude, and enthusiasm for supporting business development and technical efforts to expand Geosyntec's market share. The successful candidate will have a background in FIFRA product registration, data generation and efficacy testing to support cost effective and time sensitive product registration applications. Our client base includes a diverse mix of industrial, institutional, and governmental clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and managing projects related to pesticide and chemical product registration, safety and compliance;
  • Support FIFRA registration for traditional pesticides, supplemental residual antimicrobial products, biopesticides and pesticide devices;
  • Managing multiple projects and project teams within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;
  • Managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business;
  • Developing and managing projects related to environment, health, and safety compliance for multiple industrial client groups; and
  • Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, toxicology, environmental engineering, other applicable related degree. (required)
  • Advanced degree in environmental science, chemistry, toxicology, environmental engineering, other applicable related degree. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 7 years of experience in pesticide and chemical product registration; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Safety and compliance, EHS compliance, or related practices experience; (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of relevant federal and state regulatory programs (e.g., FIFRA, TSCA, FDA, Prop 65). (required)
  • Experience in managing multiple complex product registration, safety and compliance, EHS compliance, or related projects. (required)
  • Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)
  • Experience in designing, managing, and conducting EHS compliance audits. (preferred)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to travel. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
