What you will be responsible for:As a Institution Consultant Relations Analyst, you will work with the Global Consultant Relations team to develop and expand investment consultant relationships. You will populate and review information on MFS' investment strategies in global consultant and third-party databases in order to support new business opportunities and existing client inquiries. As an analyst, you will collaborate with the team to coordinate, support and maintain an active relationship-building effort between MFS Institutional Advisors (MFSI) and field consultants. Additionally, utilize a wide variety of internal and external systems, builds relationships with external parties, collaborates with internal departments globally and serves as a subject matter expert for databases within their coverage.
Principal ResponsibilitiesProvide product information to consultant databases including performance, data, holdings, characteristics, narrative descriptions, fees/vehicles, marketing materials, and overall information on MFS.
Perform fee/vehicle reviews periodically and provide MFS organizational/strategy/team updates in a timely, coordinated fashion
Demonstrate expertise in navigating a variety of systems to locate, analyze, and appropriately format data. Utilize key reporting systems such as Fundstation, EDW, Invest, GRIP, SharePoint, OMNI Smart Click, and the Consultant Database Matrix to ensure efficiency, accuracy and transparency.
Develop partnerships with departments including HR, Legal and Compliance to ensure that all information provided is accurate and in accordance with company policies.
Maintain current MFS investment, product and services knowledge to ensure accurate database content (via coordination with the RFP team).
Create and modify standard operating procedures for database maintenance.
Partner with the Institutional Consultant Relations Directors to build/strengthen relationships with research and field investment consultants.
Respond to requests for qualitative information by using discretion and subject matter knowledge to identify existing content within MFS' content management systems or marketing materials to provide a comprehensive and accurate response. If limited editing is required accurately edit content and confirm material changes with SME.
Identify and evaluate quantitative data requirements (across a broad variety of fund statistics) and utilize knowledge of data resources to locate appropriate data to conduct review and ensure accuracy of data. Collaborate on the creation of internal reports, testing the data integrity and identify any areas that need modification. Leveraging capabilities of BOT automation.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with 0-2+ years of financial services experience
Exceptional analytical, organizational, editorial, research, verbal and interpersonal skills required. Includes ability to work under pressure and manage several deadline-oriented projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to work independently and with other professionals at all organizational levels.
Knowledge of investments, finance and/or economics is preferred.
