Summary


The systems analyst is proficient in analysis, implementation and support of business application systems including: Deltek Costpoint, Time & Expense, Microsoft SQL along with other business solutions for Information Technology

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning, design, documenting, implementing and support of complex business systems.
  • Resolves issues and makes recommendations requiring judgment and initiative.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Performs QA reviews of configurations for implementations or changes.
  • Manage the maintenance, patches, upgrades and overall health of business applications.
  • Provide orientation, mentoring and training for applications, changes and/or enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with company's Information Technology Application Systems regarding security policies and procedures
  • Undertakes independent studies, analysis, interpretations and proposes solutions.
  • Able to identify key business requirements with minimal information by quickly identifying key players and asking the right questions.
  • Establishes and facilitates communication with other teams in order to manage inter-dependencies or requirements.
  • Monitor ticket queue and support Deltek product related issues, requests, and changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • B.A. / B.S /B.B.A and 2 years of related experience in supporting business applications.
  • 2+ years' experience with Deltek Costpoint, Time & Expense, and Cobra
  • 1+ years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Self-motivated and able to build relationships with, customers and IT professionals from other teams / functions
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards and trends, with a strong understanding of CAE's use of such practices and the main reasons for key particularities.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT business processes and ability to act as a driver of improvements with a demonstrated ability to initiate and follow through on process improvements.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record in problem solving, identifying and confronting problems (even when the problem occurs outside own domain), proposing the best technical and cost effective solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with SOX and Information Assurance programs
  • Experience with ADP, ASAP Passport, BaaN financials, Cobra, ProPricer, Magic XPI, Crystal Reports, Cognos or Domo preferred.
  • Materials Management, MRP experience preferred
  • Direct experience on the operational side of business applications

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze and interprets professional journals, technical procedures or specifications.
  • Ability to write documents, reports, business correspondence, and procedures or processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex data, information and documents.

CognitiveAbility

  • Analyze and solve complex problems; use math and mathematical reasoning.
  • Perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

  • Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
  • Must be able to work overtime, on and off-shifts as required.
  • The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, in person, in meetings and by telephone.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computers or other standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground)
