POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Racker who will perform noncomplex rack and unrack operations in accordance with instructions and under direct supervision of the Chem Processing Supervisor/Chem Processing Lead or by a qualified trainer.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reading and understanding work order requirements.
  • Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures.
  • Solvent-clean production parts prior to chemical processes.
  • Rack parts for anodize operations related to the Gun Clip Project, including gun clips and bottom plates.
  • Rack parts for basic chemical processes such as Alkaline Clean, Conversion Coat, Pickling and Passivation.
  • Operate pallet jacks and forklift, with appropriate certification.
  • Operate weight scales to verify quantities.
  • Keep Chemical Process area clean and organized per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
  • Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment.
  • Handles customer-supplied product with care.
  • Maintain and reinforce LMI's quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Available to work overtime when required, including weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Processing Supervisor or trainer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
  • Ability to read and comprehend American English is required.
  • Previous experience in racking and unracking chemical processes is desired.
  • Must become proficient in using the LMI's Work Order Tracking Program.
  • Application of basic math skills is required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions is required.
  • Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Must have a positive, team-player attitude.
  • Must have team-building capabilities
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be dependable.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
