Therapist

Since 1991, Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services(as part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers) has brought renewed hope for those suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders, and those with alcohol and substance use disorders. The 62-bed facility, located on the campus of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is accredited by The Joint Commission. Essential Job Duties:

Performs psychiatric social service functions, to include assessments, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, discharge planning and coordination with referral sources.

  • Performs psychosocial assessments.
  • Performs psycho-educational groups.
  • Conducts family education sessions.
  • Acts as a patient advocate.
  • Participates in the development of treatment plans.
  • Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
  • Initiates discharge planning upon admission and follows throughout patient stay.
  • Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
  • Answers Respond Calls whenever available.
  • Performs initial mental health assessments as needed.
  • Charts every session.
  • Charges per service.
  • Participates in program development meetings.
  • Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education : Masters Degree level in human services field. Full State License or working towards a state license preferred.


Work experience : Minimum 3 years experience in mental health setting.
