Job Description

The Shipper Trainee is responsible for assisting in packaging, labeling, preparing, and loading shipments of customer orders while working under the direction of the Sr. Shipper and Logistics Coordinator. This position will assist in all warehouse activities and must have the ability to gain a broad knowledge in all operations within the department, while following written policies and procedures.

Duties included but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that Albemarle's safety policies and procedures are followed
• Measurement of product bins
• Initiate product transfers according to packaging needs and bin levels
• Packaging of Lithium Carbonate including accurate reading of scales
• Loading shipments into dry vans and export containers
• Minor trouble shooting and required adjustments of packaging equipment
• Basic operation of the Milled Carbonate system
• Perform general housekeeping in the Warehouse and Milled Carbonate area
• Receiving and inspection of inbound freight
