Job Description

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

  1. Set up, adjust, align, clean and correct operational and experimental electronic test systems, equipment and machinery while adhering to pre-established manufacturer's or company engineering guidelines.
  2. Maintain and restore proper operation of production equipment.
  3. Perform mechanical and electronic preventive maintenance.
  4. Maintain communication with production supervision and support staff regarding the status and capabilities of the equipment.
  5. Enter data in spreadsheets and text files.
  6. Assist Engineers and Support Staff on special projects.

Experience: This position requires a minimum of 0-1 year of related experience


Education: High School graduate or equivalent.


Travel: 1 - 10%


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized components. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and to lift weight or exert force up to 50 pounds. The employee in this position works in an environment where they may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, there is a risk of electrical shock, and there is vibration. The employee may be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals, may be subject to higher noise levels, or work near moving mechanical parts.
