Position Summary


Our competitive internship program attracts top undergraduate students primarily in the Minnesota region interested in gaining invaluable real-world experience and relevant industry knowledge while exploring their interests in the field of tax and working with a variety of industry professionals. Over the course of a single semester, interns will become a key player on the tax services team assisting with the organization and preparation of individual and business tax returns for clients including, but not limited to, professional athletes and high-level executives.

We are currently looking for an intern to join our tax services team for the Spring 2023 semester, beginning in late January and concluding April 15th.


The Model Intern


The ideal intern seeks every opportunity to learn and is eager to grow professionally. We are looking for someone who believes there is no task below them; someone who is a self-starter, resourceful and can become self-sufficient, providing value quickly.


Essential Functions


  • Work closely with Tax Associates to organize and prepare individual and business tax returns to meet government deadlines and client expectations.
  • Participate in tax training sessions to increase working knowledge of tax preparation software and applications.
  • Provide support for the Tax Services team, opening capacity for the entire firm.
  • Scan and organize client documents.
  • Perform other accounting duties as necessary to meet the responsibility of the Tax Intern position and client expectations.


Required Education & Experience


  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field as a junior or senior
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Polished verbal and written communication
  • Exceptional interpersonal skill
  • Ability to remain organized while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn specialized systems and software quickly
  • Professionalism
  • A strong desire to learn and a self-starting attitude
  • United States work authorization
