Job Description

As Product Manager, you will support the Devices Business covering our Smart Metering Portfolio

In this position you will take part in defining the relevant business strategy for the company and managing roadmaps for innovative solutions, defining product lifecycles, and proposing new product development in line with market requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own all aspects of product management from defining requirements and development through to end-of-life.
  • Market and Product influence covering smart metering solutions.
  • Developed new systems and processes for continuous improvement of Itron's Product Management capability.
  • Commercial management of the product roadmap and requirements to deliver products ensuring the portfolio operates at target profits.
  • Work in cross-functional teams with as sales and bid teams, engineering, and operations to grow the business and ensure efficient operations.
  • Take ownership of the communication of the portfolio (internal & external), give product presentations to potential customers, represent Itron in global events.
  • Prepare business case evaluation during and after project execution.
  • Ensure regular reporting and portfolio reviews to all levels of the organisation, from project level to executive.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Business or Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, ICT).
  • 2+ years of experience in Product management covering smart solutions (IoT, Telecom, Automotive, etc)
  • Extensive experience in strategic portfolio development to expand business beyond existing solutions.
  • Knowledge in metering, metrology, utility business would be preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well good presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.
  • Result-oriented, proactive, strong analytical and strategic way of thinking.
  • Organized and flexible, capacity to handle several projects at the same time in an international environment.
