What you will be responsible for:

Using discretion and judgment, coordinates the translation of various portfolio data into useable information by assisting in the gathering and the analyzing of data and by interfacing with various departments within Global Distribution. Additionally, facilitates the workflow within the department by completing routine and ad hoc projects. Position ensures the development of compelling and consistent communications to maximize the department's knowledge of the markets and all of MFS' investment products, as well as the conclusions of its ongoing research and analysis of the investment products relative to the competition and applicable benchmarks. Interprets often technical investment-oriented information and communicates it in a style which is understandable to MFS' clients.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Works with Investment Product Specialist to respond to questions on MFS' products from Global Distribution sales including the retail, off-shore and institutional sales channels.

  • Aids in the retention of client assets by supporting product related inquiries from clients, consultants, professional buyers and financial advisors.

  • Supports the creation of product related materials including investment profiles, presentations, competitive analysis and attribution letters.

  • Interfaces pro-actively with other MFS groups outside of Global Product, including investment management team, Compliance, Legal, Client Service and reporting teams.

  • Anticipates and articulates opportunities to increase work-flow efficiencies and generate new ideas for business unit.

  • Responsible for the final compliance review of materials developed.

  • Makes recommendations regarding the need for additional analytical tools for use in communications development.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent investment industry experience, with 5+ years of investment marketing and communications experience with strong background in presenting analytical investment information as well as economic trends in the market.

  • Advancement toward MBA and or CFA strongly encouraged.

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate complex investment information to clients.

  • Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Working knowledge of the following analytical tools recommended: Morningstar Direct, eVestment, Alliance, FactSet and SPAR.

  • Position requires appropriate registrations in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
