DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates their assigned aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, in strict compliance with company Operational standards and all applicable regulations;
• Places safety and customer service at the forefront in everything they do, both inside and outside the aircraft;
• Mentors and trains SIC's in IFR Operations, Night Operations, CRM, and all Operational procedures to produce a cohesive and safe work atmosphere both inside and outside the cockpit;
• Performs day and night Search and Rescue and EMS missions, hoisting operations, and management of mission team to ensure safety and compliance;
• Coordinates, interprets, assists in building and executes Search and Rescue action plans;
• Completes necessary risk assessment, flight planning paperwork, preflight, fueling and oversight of mission to ensure compliance;
• Maintains with accuracy both electronic and paper records to include journey logs, personal flight and duty sheets, and aircraft technical logbook times;
• Reports all aircraft mechanical irregularities by entering them in the aircraft paper and electronic technical log and ensures aircraft is airworthy before, during and after all flights;
• Facilitates communications with the customer and ensures Bristow is always represented in a professional manner;
• Maintains SAR aircraft and crews in mission ready status throughout duty period;
• Stays up to date on all company operational and safety procedures; and
• Complies with other duties and assignments that may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• FAA ATP Rotorcraft Helicopter;
• Ability to obtain first class medical before hired;
• 3,000 helicopter total hours;
• 2,000 helicopter PIC hours;
• 1,200 multi-engine hours as PIC; and
• 500 maritime SAR.
