Job Description

A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline.

Primary Function:

IEc is planning several anniversary field studies of their Huntington Beach work to coincide with the aerial overflights. They are looking for field teams to conduct surveys. These surveys will all involve teams of two people going to one or multiple locations in Orange, San Diego, and/or LA Counties on each sample day. The studies will include conducting spot counts and/or on-site interviews.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Travel to the study areas and perform recreational beach use surveys of beach goers according to the established protocol. All data forms must be submitted daily following proper chain of custody.

Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated and total compensation will vary depending on employee's availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with demonstrated relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant discipline with experience performing surveys, outgoing, well spoken, and presents professionally.

Travel:

  • Daily travel is anticipated to the project locations. Must have reliable transportation.

Locations:

  • Applicants must be currently living, or be willing to live, in LA, Orange, and San Diego Counties
