Internship or Co-op Opportunity - Civil Engineering

We have openings at all our offices (Madison, Milwaukee, or Reedsburg) for InternsThis co-op position is available for the Spring/Summer Semester or the Summer/Fall Semester. Our Co-op program provides real-world experience including hands-on mentorship from our experience engineering staff. This program is designed to expand students’ knowledge and help them become a well-rounded civil engineer. Students interested in this position should have an interest in pursuing a Civil Engineering degree.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assistance with infrastructure and site design including: street plans (plan & profile, cross sections, etc.), grading and erosion control plans, storm water management facilities, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems and storm sewer systems
- Preparation of quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Assistance with preparation of specifications
- Assistance with preparation of permit applications
- Learn and become familiar with applicable local, state, and federal governmental requirements, codes, industry standards, and internal procedures and policies
- Construction and/or storm water management inspections
- Assistance with land surveying and construction staking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools
- Ability to work well independently or on a team
- Pursuing a degree in civil engineering or related field is required
- Previous experience in the civil industry is preferred
