Investment Banking Analyst, Healthcare (Charlotte, NC)

Baird's Healthcare Investment Banking team has an established track record of providing clients with comprehensive strategic advisory and capital market services. The Healthcare team has completed over 150 healthcare M&A and financing transactions since 2020. The Baird team has advised public companies, private business owners and private equity sponsors on Healthcare M&A transactions worth in aggregate greater than $8.4 billion. Additionally, Baird's Healthcare team has raised over $6 billion in capital for clients in over 34 initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and other financing transactions since 2016. Baird's global investment banking and financial sponsor coverage provide an extensive network of relationships among active Healthcare acquirers, partners, and investors throughout the world.

Our Healthcare team consists of about 50 bankers with a global reach. We focus on the middle market across all major segments of healthcare, including Healthcare Services, Pharma Services, Medical Products and Technology, Healthcare IT and Life Sciences. We have a team-oriented culture and strong history of Analyst development and growth. We're seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our Healthcare team in Charlotte.

As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will:

  • Play an integral role on investment banking teams, providing analytical support on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and other financial advisory services for our clients.

  • Assist in the preparation of company valuations, financial models, company marketing documents and client presentations in addition to performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation.

  • Develop your skills through broad exposure to both junior and senior bankers.

What we look for:

  • Candidates with experience working in a solution-focused professional environment who can hit the ground running.

  • 12-24 months of full-time experience working at a investment bank.

  • Candidates must have a proven academic record and an interest in Finance.

  • The ideal candidate will have:

    • An enduring work ethic and track record of success.

    • The ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis.

    • Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.

    • Series 63 & 79 licensing preferred or the ability to quickly obtain.
