What you will be responsible for:

As a Business Systems Analyst Manager for Distribution Technology, you will manage a team of professionals responsible for the successful delivery of technology solutions for MFS Global Distribution. The focus of the team is on the technology platforms and business processes that support our sales operations. The team is comprised of both employees and contractors, located onshore as well as offshore. The Business Systems Analyst Manager will collaborate with business and technology teams throughout the organization to ensure that solutions are properly and efficiently implemented.

In this role you will:

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of technology solutions
  • Manage a dynamic team of MFS full-time and contractor employees functioning in BA, QA and Scrum Master roles
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships. Assist with vendor contracts, SOWs, due diligence and audit requests
  • Champion Agile best practices and MFS software development life cycle (SDLC) while working to release technology changes for the benefit of business partners
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, delivery teams, internal IT and external vendor resources to ensure technology teams are meeting business needs

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions regarding hiring, training, and the development of team members; conduct performance appraisals; recommend salary changes and promotions; provide feedback to team members
  • Coach, mentor and advise team members on best practices, effective communication, and resolution management
  • Act as a point of escalation for employees and agile team members. Assist with removing impediments; facilitate a path forward when necessary
  • Work to ensure resources are properly utilized while maintaining a healthy work-life balance for the team
  • Work to ensure agile teams are delivering a high-quality product for business stakeholders. Assist with the creation of proper training materials and business documentation
  • Work closely with the Distribution Application Support team to research and resolve production support issues as needed. Work with business partners and other IT departments to resolve issues as needed
  • Participate in system architectural discussions with development teams
  • Act as a business architect when needed. Work with Distribution business partners to understand and define business needs
  • Assist with strategic planning of department initiatives and resources and with developing long-range roadmaps
  • Identify areas where new or existing technologies can be leveraged to create an enhanced user experience or improve operational efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk, manage costs, and provide an excellent user experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; technology related degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with asset management technology
  • Previous management experience preferred, preferably in an Agile environment
  • Strong technical, analytical, and business knowledge. Excellent technical understanding of underlying relevant technical architecture and asset management business processes
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations and training to technical and business audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and optimize resource utilization
  • Experience working within an application development environment with a structured SDLC and corresponding control process
  • In-depth technical and functional understanding of corporate applications
  • Previous experience working as a business systems analyst. In-depth understanding of business analyst techniques
  • Proven ability to develop creative solutions for complex system and business problems
