We are seeking an Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all site specific environmental, health and safety policy and procedures; including EPA, OSHA and DOT and other federal/state agencies. The position will work closely with the Corporate EHS team, General Manger, and the Human Resources Business Partner to ensure that all EHS processes and regulations are met daily to the highest standard. In addition, this position will oversee the 6S Program, implementation, and processes, as well as monitor and track all EHS and 6S training and training documentation for the facility.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordinate and administer all employee EHS training on a continuous basis.
* Work with outside organizations who are conducting safety, health, environmental, fire, and physical security audits of the facility.
* Submit reports, make recommendations, and apply for permits to ensure compliance with state and federal agencies.
* Maintain and update EHS materials on a continuous basis, in addition to maintaining site specificSharePoint site(s).
* Oversee the reporting, investigation, and documentation of all safety or EHS related concerns.
* Attend and lead regular meetings to communicate any EHS matters.
* Routinely preform inspections, hazard assessments, and audits to ensure compliance and report findings to the corporate team.
* Administer the hearing conservation program.
* Conduct testing of air quality and wastewater as required.
* Coordinate the removal of hazardous waste as needed.
* Familiar with AS9100 Quality System requirements and comply accordingly.
* Participate in kaizen or R3 events focused on EHS improvements.
* On-call at all times to respond to EHS related issues
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
* Occupational Safety & Health and/or Environmental Bachelor's degree preferred
* Associate Safety Professional Certification (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
* Must have previous experience working in a EHS role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, up to 40 pounds safely.
* Must have a standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts meets the requirement) and have the ability to distinguish colors.
* Hearing with or without correction is required.
* Must be able to do the functions of this position with or without accommodations.
