The Platform Architect's responsibilities include setting technical direction in concert with the overall Product and Technology strategy, identifying business domains, settling thresholds and tolerances of systems, and providing technical leadership to the engineering teams.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify and negotiates system needs and work with multi-functional members to define & prioritize the scope of solutions that meet market needs.

Ultimately, you'll help us roll out high-impact products that deliver significant customer value in-line with our company's vision.

Job Tasks:

  • Work with customers, business, and engineering departments to translate business objectives into system requirements and define a product-wide technology approach that encompasses multiple systems and various integration points.
  • Provide technical advisory services from design, development, and DevOps for implementations with multiple integrations and software platformsto engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
  • Draft technical engineering plans, technical designs, and systems integration-related documents and work you're doing
  • Facilitate estimate time frames, quality, and quantity of resources required to efficiently implement technology projects.
  • Qualify, scope, and deliver new technical projects for expansion and upsells for existing customers
  • Work closely with the Product team to continuously relay feedback for improvement on platform features and functions, and ensure sustained customer success.
  • Ensure compliance with the solution architectural design and technology strategy.
  • Educate, train, and provide mentorship for best practices and standards to the engineering team.
  • Explain technical issues and engineering solution strategies to collaborators, executives, and other technical specialists
  • Ensure that platform architecture aligns with business goals
  • Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure the overall lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Identify and mitigate existing business risks or risks associated with the specified platform architecture.
  • Provide advice and make decisions about which technologies would be suitable to use across the business/customer base
  • Collaborate with project managers and other staff members to develop budgets and timelines for solutions
  • Set sprint goals and define sprint backlogs with the engineering teams
  • Plan sprint striping and feature release breakthroughs working with Program & Product Management
  • Follow the progress of work and address detail/information issues during sprints
  • Interpret functional and non-functional requirements
  • Keep track of industry trends and standard methodologies.
  • will take ownership of large software systems with an ability to break them down into manageable pieces to facilitate concurrent delivery.

Minimum Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar relevant field

Preferred Experience

  • Customer-first mentality; ability to empathize and build customer dedication.
  • Ability to effectively relate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulate the business value of a given technical solution
  • Experience in prioritizing, clarifying objectives, looking after ambiguous/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams
  • Critical thinking and sophisticated problem-solving ability required
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to optimally communicate across the internal and external business, marketing, and engineering departments
  • Strong organizational, and analytical skills and the ability to work at a highly-detailed level
  • Ability to lead & mentor others with varying levels of skill and expertise
  • 8-10+ years of successful technical solutions design and architecture experience required
  • Background in healthcare is a plus
  • Design-first approach using UML or similar methodology.
  • Hands-on experience designing systems that use modern distributed Software Architecture Patterns (e.g. CQRS/Event Sourcing, Streaming, Microservices, Service Bus, Service Mesh)
  • Ability to dig into business requirements or reverse engineer existing systems to deliver Domain-driven module designs
  • Experience building standards-based API architectures in a distributed manner.
  • Validated understanding of common standards for Authentication and Authorization
  • Commercial experience crafting cloud-native solutions, Azure preferred.
  • Engineering experience building and deploying containerized artifacts to cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working in an Agile engineering environment and able to lead SCRUM rituals
  • Microsoft OS, Cloud & Application ecosystems (Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Azure, etc)
  • Microsoft Development tools (.Net, C#, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps etc)

Pay Rate$153,500 - $182,500 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
