Grade Crossing Project Engineer- Fort Worth, TX

We have a career opportunity for a Project Engineer to assume responsibility for assigned Grade Crossing projects. As a Project Engineer, you will establish and organize design calculation files for assigned elements and the overall project. This position will work on various Railroad projects across the U.S and will require you to be passionate about contributing to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the Railroad division.

The Impact You Will Have:
  • You will perform complex analysis and design.
  • You will check and sign off on basic design calculations and plan elements.
  • You will develop and oversee work plans for Designer and Technologists including developing task deliverables.
  • You will display your leadership by training and mentoring designers as necessary.
  • You will design elements/components of Grade Crossing projects and will coordinate the development with other elements and disciplines within the project.
  • You will demonstrate an understanding between specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
  • You will begin to understand the overall required plan content, schedule, and budget for deliverables on projects.
  • You will begin initiating involvement with professional organizations and networking.
What We Are Looking For:
  • You will have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
  • You will have 8 years of Class I, Shortline, or agency railroad experience.
  • You are a Licensed P.E.
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable with presentations, creative and like leading teams
  • You are proficient in multiple software including CADD, Microstation, and Microsoft products like Word, Excel, and Outlook and are comfortable learning other programs as required #LI-MM1
