Your Opportunity

The Associate HR Generalist provides administrative assistance to the Human Resources department. The position will focus on recruiting, policy and procedure administration, training and various administrative duties. This position performs complex duties requiring independent judgment and coordination in one or more areas of a comprehensive human resource operation.

Core Responsibilities
    Maintains employee files such as employee personnel files, benefit files and staffing/recruiting files.
  • Maintains department files in accordance with the Company retention policy/guidelines.
  • Processes HR paperwork including applications, new hire paperwork, pay changes, data changes, terminations and other confidential employee information.
  • Manages the recruiting and pre-employment efforts for assigned client groups by reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, creating offer letters, initiating drug/background checks and creating new hire packets.
  • Assists in conducting and the administering the New Employee Orientation program for all New Hires and provides support for the full on-boarding cycle.
  • Assists in maintaining and administering the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Maintains compliance database and ensures required training and other activities occur on schedule.
  • Ensures compliance with required postings at all locations.
  • Assists in HR Audits.
  • Works to maximize positive employee relations and minimize potential liabilities.
  • Administers and maintains employee recognition programs.
  • Assists in oversight of the corporate AAP to ensure compliance in all recruitment, promotions and transfer processes.
  • Assists with the employee relocation program to provide quality relocation services.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Compiles and maintains departmental reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • 2+ years HR related experience and/or training, preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Human Resources functions and requirements.
  • Experience with a recruiting system, such as iCims and knowledge of SAP HRIS, preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word Processing, and Power Point.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to be organized, flexible and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of an organization and manage up effectively.
  • Ability to deal with and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
