The Quality Analyst is an entry-level position focused on the quality assurance and testing of the Investments and Trading data product capabilities at MFS Investments, a leading diversified multi-asset Investment management firm.

The Role

The Quality Analyst demonstrates independent thought-process to lead design, development, and execution of testcase scripts validating data quality, embrace the Agile mindset and quickly scale to be a team-player and follow the MFS System development Lifecycle. Certifications or academic projects that demonstrate interest in working in the field of Finance or Financial technology is a plus. A collaborative attitude with strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and willing to work with various stakeholders.

What you will do

As part of a team, develop testing strategies and test cases, data quality engineering, and execute scripts for internal investment data products or pipelines.

Learn MFS business processes and applications; Promote introduction of new quality assurance tools and technologies for the SDLC.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, CIS, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated interest in working in the technology field. Basic programming experience required along with ability to access and understand data.
  • Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand business processes and technologies that enable investment management - trading and client engagement functions.
  • Self-starter, and ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with business, technology, and infrastructure teams.
  • Interest in the Investment management industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Investment data.
  • Familiarity with cloud native technology platforms.
  • Keen interest to learn new technologies and experiment with innovative solutions.
