Position

The Client Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting internal and external customers by providing support on institutional client onboarding and client life cycle events. The Client Implementation Specialist must be an operations contributor with a passion for excellence, client experience, efficiency, control, and transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding institutional clients, through coordination with clients and internal stakeholders, including facilitating mutually acceptable client agreements, administering AML/KYC reviews, and coordinating approval of investment guidelines and necessary compliance documentation
  • Identifying, logging, and tracking key elements of account setup including unique reporting requirements, compliance restrictions, MFN's, fees, etc. and coordinate with key partners such as distribution enablement, operational support, or regulatory reporting.
  • Leading client lifecycle events including, client custodian transitions, client cash flows and account terminations.
  • Supporting team email inbox by acting as a central point of contact for a wide range of operational, regulatory, and administrative inquiries.
  • Reviewing legal contracts and agreements, as well as investment guidelines, and presenting such elements in internal and external communication.
  • Assessing and analyzing accounts on an ongoing basis for compliance, documentation exceptions, data quality, maintenance of files and systems to minimize operational and system risk.
  • Participating in client service projects.
  • Maintaining account master and retention of client and internal documentation that supports business process.
  • Analyzing and resolving customer service, operational, and/or systems-related issues.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Build strong business partnerships across business, including but not limited to portfolio managers, distribution, legal, risk, compliance, regulatory reporting, data, and technology.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, and risk to comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and compliance procedures
  • Improve processes, implement controls, define, and document procedures and execute on the Allspring Operations strategic plan.
  • Contribute to the long-term vision of client, team member, operational, risk, cultural, and financial outcomes to be achieved with transformation.
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are implemented, and service agreements to all partners and stakeholders are met.
  • Participate in ongoing reviews of end-to-end business processes to determine where we can simplify and create more efficiencies.
  • Contribute to our continuous improvement program to ensure processes and procedures remain current and appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in one or a combination of the following: institutional account onboarding, implementation, project management and/or strategic planning.
  • Experience in the asset management industry, specifically experience working with institutional clients.
  • Experience managing issues and shepherding solutions across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage and mitigate risk and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to drive change toward continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and execution abilities.
  • Experience partnering with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Thoughtful and decisive style with ability negotiate critical issue resolution.
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to influence others and create strong followership.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where influencing, flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are critically important.

Base Pay Range: $70,000 to $105,000

Salary Range for NYC and CA Candidates only. Actual based may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
