Primary Responsibilities

In the role of General BIM Specialist 3, we'll count on you to:

• Perform non-routine and complex drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques
• Perform Redline corrections and develop design drawings from initial sketches
• Take responsibility for drawing layout
• Work independently with occasional advice from your supervisor
• Direct efforts of less-experienced BIM Technicians as needed
• Design running line for gas main replacement or relocation
• Set up traffic control plans for clients as needed (In Auto CAD & Microstation)
• Create Bore profiles, surfaces, and alignments
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
• 5 years of experience developing BIM layouts/designs from engineering designs of structures
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and InRoads
• Gas replacement and electric experience required
• Traffic control experience required
• Experience in AutoCad, Civil 3-D, Microstation required.
• Ability to be a lead technician and work closely with Jr
• CADD Staff
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in Smallworld preferred
